This app is for recording beetles eating leaves of eucalypts (gum trees) in New Zealand. Some beetles are serious biosecurity threats to eucalypts in NZ. Your observations can help the forestry industry and the Ministry of Primary Industries to manage these threats and detect new arrivals. If you find any beetles feeding on eucalypt leaves, its important to record them, even if you dont think theyre one of the three species profiled in this app.
